Marketing Techniques
What is marketing technique?
Marketing technique is where you are able to sell something successfully and it is the way that they are doing it. If you are doing it in a very sustainable way and effective way then you are likely to make a big profit and benefits faster because you are doing it in an effective way.
Where I do we encounter it?
Marketing technique is everywhere. People are selling things all the time. Amazon, eBay, Facebook. Everybody knows about it. Shops on the high street. Everywhere. However everybody has their own way that they market. They all have their own techniques.
For example people advertise on the television, they give out leaflets, make their product known to everyone. They can put up posters and put ads on the internet. Mainly most popular internet visited sites that most of the population visit, therefor they can get as many people to know about their product as possible.
Why do people buy things?
However some marketing businesses are good at being able to make people think that they need a curtain product, just by the way they advertise it. For example they will either make a really clever logo that everyone will remember or they will make television adverts look like you have tyo have this one thing that they are advertising. If you think of it as competition, then they have to compete to make their product look like you really need it. They can even make you feel guilty after when you realise after that you never really needed to buy this one thing.
An example of this is the herbal accesses shampoo- mainly shampoo adverts-. There is an advert at the moment with a young lady in it that screams and moans in the shower, making I sound like it is so good while she is washing her hair, while the narrator is giving the most “amazing” points of the shampoo and why you need to have it. Giving points on what it is supposed to do. There is also another one with a famous singer called Nicole schzinger in it and it’s a Muller yoghurt advert. She also moans while eating it making it sound like it is soooo amazing and fantastic, making you feel like you need to go out and buy that thing. Another thing with this adverts is that, people will also be attracted to it because it has been approved by a famous celebrity. This will automatically make us think that, if a famous celebrity is eating it, then it must be that good that we need it.
Your Image
Image is important to. You don’t want people to take you as someone that you’re not. You could have problems with wearing something you feel comfortable in, but you may bring the wrong opinion of others to you. For example you might be wearing something that will make people will avoid you and try not to talk to you because you’re not open and hiding or anything that could get people’s attention drawn from you. So if you try and get employed and want to help with selling something, there is 45% chance you will get employed.
2 COMPANIES
The first company I want to talk about is the shampoo advert (as mentioned above). This advert on television reaches out to women that mainly want their hair to be amazing and have strength and look healthy. They will also have their product advertising on a billboard as you are traveling to places across the country. Say if you were on the motorway from Birmingham to London, you would have passed many different adverts on billboards that you are instantly drawn to.
The advert will also make the product seem like everybody needs it. Showing sleek looking hair, makes this product look so amazing, and also helps state that it does its job. The show the results that it is supposed to have and makes us want to buy it.
Another company is clothes shops. Stores like Primark or lipsy and bank super dry, things like that.
Clothes nowadays are worn by everybody, regular people you would pass in the street as well as celebs. People also tend to buy things because they make you feel better. You could be wearing something that you could really have great confidence in. it boosts your self-esteem so you want to buy it, whether it’s expensive or not. , however when you get home and you have brought something that is very expensive. You’ll get home and think to yourself “I don’t think I should have brought that, where am I going to wear that?” etc. etc. This is how they get you. It’s the same with a dress that a girl might like. You might think you look soooo amazing in it and girly glamorous, but you could only wear it once and it was so expensive your could have brought something you would have used more than once.
